The Green Waste Company is a Cornwall-based, family-run business,
with a background of four generations of Cornish farmers, and eight years’ experience of specialised recycling and
waste management. Our team are all suitably qualified, experienced, safety-conscious and environmentally aware.
Recycling and composting is a growing and fast-moving business sector, and all our team members are involved in
ongoing training and certification to ensure that we keep up with developments. We were one of the first green
waste disposal companies in Cornwall, and our long-term strategy for continual improvement and development keeps
us at the forefront of waste management.
John Richards
John trained at the Royal College of Agriculture and, with his brother Paul, has run the farming company C. P.
Richards and Son Limited for twenty-five years. The Green Waste Company was established in 2000, since then John
has managed the site, plant and equipment through to its most recent development. He is a member of the Chartered
Institute of Waste Management, holds an HGV Class 1 licence and has specialist training in all aspects of recycling
machinery.
Felicity Richards
Felicity is a graduate of Seale Hayne and has worked alongside husband, John, in the farming business for twenty years.
Following the launch of The Green Waste Company she has been responsible for establishing and developing the business,
taking forward planning applications, exemptions and licensing. Her role also involves obtaining contracts and securing
appropriate grant funding for further business development. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Waste Management,
and is a Nuffield scholar.
Nathan Thornton and Martyn Johnson
Nathan and Martyn work together on the day-to-day running of the site. They both have JCB, swing-shovel and site safety
awareness certificates in addition to specialist recycling machinery training.
Trish Payne and Carol Richards
Trish and Carol are both qualified bookkeepers, jointly taking care of the business administration and health and safety.
Both bring a wealth of experience.
